Arturo "Art" Quiros
Arturo "Art" Quiros first stepped inside a recording booth at age 16, and fell in love with the process of making music. He is a self-taught producer, engineer and rapper/recording artist with a passion for inspiring youth to realize their full potential. Art began at Street Poets in 2007 as an intern through the Poet-in-Residence program, and later took on the responsibilities of recording studio engineer. He produced two tracks on Street Poets debut CD "Witness," and is a featured poet and rapper on that project as well. He has performed his poetry with Street Poets in a variety of public venues, and has co-facilitated writing workshops with the group. Art is currently pursuing his A.A. degree while facilitating Street Poetsą Friday night studio session s and recording tracks for their second album. He also continues to write and produce music for Los Angeles' underground hip-hop scene from the comfort of his home studio. |
