Alison Tatlock
Alison Tatlock began with Street Poets, Inc. as a volunteer mentor at the social service placement facility Penny Lane/New Directions School in 2000. She then became a teaching artist, and soon after joined the Street Poets staff as Associate Director. Alison initiated and continues to facilitate the poetry program at La Vida North, a continuation high school for pregnant girls and teen mothers. In addition to her work as Co-Executive Director, she is also a playwright and performer. Her plays have been developed and produced in Los Angeles and New York, and she has extensive experience as a stage actor. Alison holds a BA from Yale in literature and theater studies and an MFA in acting from the University of California, San Diego. She lives with her husband and young daughter. |
